KayCee Galano wins the 2021 Mary Lane Memorial Violin Competition

Founded in 1882, the non-profit corporation, Women in Music-Columbus (WMC), was organized to educate and entertain the citizens of Central Ohio. The Mary Lane Memorial Violin Competition was established in 2008 by Dr. Tom Lesher in memory of his former violin teacher, Mary Lane, who was a longtime member of WMC. The competition, founded in 1881, is sponsored by Women in Music-Columbus. Along with a cash prize, the first prize includes public performances in the 2021-2022 season and online features.
